“La veu de les (d)ones”, which translates to “The voice of women” and “The voice of the waves,” is a powerful celebration of female expression. This transdisciplinary performance features three performers who navigate a sea of vibrant fabrics and undulating wooden structures. Through dance, music, and the captivating power of the female singing voice, the piece explores the ongoing struggle for women’s voices to be heard.
Inspired by the mythical siren, a symbol of femininity and duality, the performance sheds light on how societal pressures can often silence women’s views and perspectives. “La veu de les (d)ones” aims to empower and uplift, reminding us of the strength and importance of female voices.
