United by a passion for exploring human and social themes, they weave together dance, live music, and scenography to create a unique artistic language.
Ambae Company is a joint artistic venture between Belgian dancer/choreographer Arina Lannoo and Spanish musician/composer Tito Ripoll and was founded in 2019.
Their work delves into contemporary societal issues, pushing the boundaries between disciplines with each new collaboration.
Ambae Company aspires to continue this exploration, fostering a deeper understanding of the human experience through a collaborative approach that transcends traditional artistic boundaries.
Their first work “Connection” premiered at the festival Dansa Metropolitana Barcelona in 2021.
“We all live in a box”, their second creation, premiered in May 2022 at the Festival Mais Imaginarius in Portugal and has been touring in Spain, Portugal, The Netherlands and Belgium and still continues to tour.
Their latest creation “La veu de les (d)ones” premiered in Teatre Auditori de Llinars del Vallès in April 2024.
Arina Lannoo
(1992, Belgium) studied dance at ArtEZ University of the Arts in the Netherlands and at MUDA high school of dance and music in Belgium. In the past years besides touring with Ambae Company with the pieces “Connection” and “We all live in a box”, she worked with the company Byström Källblad within the Big Pulse Dance program.
She created choreographies and danced in various publicity campaigns such as the Oysho Yoga Dance Campaign. She also teaches regular dance workshops.
Over the years she has collaborated with various choreographers as a dancer such as: Rachid Ouramdane, Byström Källblad, Marta Gálvez, Loic Perela, Erik Kaiel, La Verita Dance Company, Moving Ground, Amos Ben-Tal, Leonore Valère Lachsky, Noa Shadur, Joeri Dubbe, Dieter Defurne,…
Tito Ripoll
(1988, USA/Spain) he studied Audio Engineering in Barcelona at Mk3 Superior School.
Over the years he’s been performing with many bands as a drummer (April Gallo, Slurp!, Tuccis, Victor Lemus, La Corda Fluixa) and has been working as a sound technician at many events. In 2022 and 2023, in addition to touring with the pieces “Connection” and “We all live in a box” by Ambae Company, he composed the music for the short film “El Bus” directed by Sandra Reina, which was prized as the best shortfiml in the festival Premis Gaudí in 2024 and it was nominated for the 38 Goya Awards.
This year, in addition to creating music for Ambae Company’s new production “La veu de les (d)ones” he has also collaborated with the musician Marc Esteve to compose the music for the piece “Hoy llueve mañana yegua” by Marta Santa Catalina.
